The Omega 3 Experiment and 1800PetMeds.com Helping Shelters in Need

Since I started taking Omega 3 about 7 weeks ago, I've noticed some changes . . .

my swimming ability has improved,

I'm beginning to grow scales and fins,

& I find myself longing to be among my fellow fishies . . . 

JUST KIDDING!

Okay, I'll be serious.  I'm taking 1800PetMeds.com Super Pure Omega 3 Capsules for my itchy skin/skin allergies, to see if it helps. Seven weeks into the experiment (which isn't long enough to get the full effect but probably long enough to notice improvement), we think it does. I'm scratching less (yay!), and my fur feels super soft. After I posted Relief from Itchiness?, I received lots of comments from friends who already take Omega 3, and they all say it helps their skin and fur.

So which one is YOUR favorite?

A note from Garth's mom to the contestants: 

First of all, THANKS for your participation and enthusiasm! Now some housekeeping - If you included a link in your email, I included it in this post, but I know some people don't want people they don't know friending them on Facebook, so I didn't include a Facebook link unless you sent me one.  I hope all the links are correct -- if not, please let me know and I'll fix it.

There were no rules, so the term "In" has been very loosely interpreted! If you sent multiple photos, I've included them, but in the interest of fairness, only one entry per dog (or per 2 or 3 dogs, if multiple dogs were in a box) was allowed.

Winner was selected by random drawing.  We put all the names in a box and the winner was the first one Garth tried to eat.

ANNOUNCING Dog In A Box PHOTO CONTEST (with Special Guest Stars!)

Earlier this month, I showed you how much fun can be had with a simple cardboard box (see Fun With A Box).

That gave me an idea - why not have a Dog(s) In A Box photo contest?

To enter, just take a photo of a dog or dogs in a box, and email it to me here with the subject "Dog In A Box" and the dog's name.  If you have a blog or Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram account you'd like me to link to, please include that as well.  (Please, no cats in boxes -- that would be too easy.)  Once I receive all entries, I will do a post with all the photos, so everyone can enjoy them, and maybe get a chance to meet some new pups.

Rules:

• By sending me your photo, you give me permission to publish it on my blog in posts pertaining to this contest, but you continue to own the rights to the photo.
• Contest will run from now until January 31.
• Winner will be selected randomly from all entries.  (Because I know it will be impossible to select the cutest or funniest or silliest.)
• Winner will be announced in a blog post on February 1.

PRIZE will be a BOX (of course) -- full of an assortment of dog treats & dog-related swag from BlogPaws, BarkWorld, etc.  Contest is open to U.S. residents and non-residents alike, however if winner is a non-U.S.-resident, we may have to substitute something else for the treats due to customs laws.
