Last weekend, Jimmy Buffett played his annual Labor Day Weekend Show at the Jiffy Lube Pavilion in Northern Virginia. Since there was no hurricane this year to interfere with things, of course my parents had to be there. And this time, I got to tag along!

Proof that my parents weren't the only ones being silly
Mom says that one of the many things she loves about Jimmy Buffett concerts is seeing a bunch of middle aged people like herself being totally silly. Mom and Dad are both very much in favor of "growing older but not up".
But sometimes they take silliness a little too far . . .

I liked going to Northern Virginia and staying in a nice hotel and smelling Northern Virginia smells. Mom and I found some pretty flowers on an early morning walkie the day after the show.
But why can't I go swimming in the pond in front of the hotel?

Did you get to eat a cheeseburger in paradise? BOL My peeps KNOW every Jimmy Buffett song...they even have a few of his cassettes...haha...yes that ages them a bit!
ReplyDeleteOMD those northern Virginia smells must has been fantastic! I think your parents gots a problem: they is Parrotheads. But I thinks they has a surgical to correct the condition. It is ok, my Mama has a friend with Parrothead too. It looks like you guys has a really fun adventure.

*whew* I'm so glad I have NORMAL parents. Heehee. Um. Well, maybe 'normal' isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think of Mom and Dad. But hey, your parents were having fun, and that's all that matters! Although we can't say we blame you about not enjoying the shark hat. We wouldn't be too wild about it, either. But definitely sign us up for the cheeseburgers in paradise! (That's also known as Saturday afternoon for us!) ;-)

Oh my goodness!!! That sure looked like fun! We must NEVER grow up, my Mom says. BTW, I got the contest pressies today! We are absolutely floored at how beautiful the ornaments are! Love, love, love them! I also imediately took good care of the toy, BOL. Mom fixed it though, hehe. I will do a blog on these in the future, Thanks again my friend!!!
