Pupdate on Mommy-Dog: All went well - but what's up with the cheese?

A lot of our friends have asked, so I thought I should provide a pupdate:  Mom's surgery went well.  Dad says the titanium plate looks really cool on X-ray.  Mom is fine and is home resting on the couch trying to decide between the Olympics and True Blood reruns.  She is really  playing the sympathy card and is taking full advantage of the situation.  (She’s all “honey could you get me this?” and “honey could you get me that?” – and Honey isn’t even here!  She's in Australia, for pete's sake!)

But the truly remarkable aspect of all this?

Mom came home with a giant block of cheese on her arm.

Excuse my language, but there’s really no other way to put this – WTF?

  1. LOL! Did you get a taste of that block of cheese? I don't think for some reason it would taste very good. Glad the surgery went well for your Momma though. Make sure "honey" brings her whatever she needs!

  6. Take good care of your mommy. We're glad she had a good surgeon to patch her up so she can go on more adventures. We LOVED the pictures from your hike! Just beautiful. Too bad about the slip. Lady has had a bunch of broken bones because of being active, so she agrees with your mom, it's just the price of an active life. We've never been hang gliding but it looks like super fun. They have paragliding here in the Himalayas, but high winds often make it too dangerous. Take care!!

  7. That's pretty cool. My mom is jealous. She's a cheesehead and is willing to be a cheesearm. Hope it helps your mom feel better.

  8. Dear Garth...thank you for the update on your Mom. We think that might be the biggest piece of cheese we have ever seen. Are we having a beer and cheese party when they take it off her arm?

  10. Hah, Cheese Arm! You probably shouldn't try to taste it though!

I'd say watch the Olympics while it's on, and watch True Blood when it isn't. That way, she gets the best of both world.
